Non Disc - High TG Surface: Rim Brake 700C road rims use an advanced High TG resin system with a layer of graphene to help dissipate heat. The braking power and reliability is significantly improved over a basalt braking surface.

Non Disc - Grooved Graphene Surface: Our new resin system and construction method, combined with the 3k rim track, withstands over 280°C, dissipates heat, and lowers rim temperatures faster in between braking efforts. Gain confidence-inspiring brake performance on the steepest descents and wettest conditions with our matching brake pads. Also, graphene added to the rim brake track allows for greater resistance to overheating with improved heat dissipation and reduced temperature accumulation during heavy braking. The grooved track helps evacuate trapped moisture between pad and rim in wet conditions, and brings more resistance and force at the lever when conditions are dry.

Full Custom: This option (if provided here to choose) offers custom braking track in other various weaves (UD/12K/3K twill etc) with 1-2 weeks LONGER on manufacture and extra $10USD/rim only as a start (with High TG Surface by default). Center Channel Hole This is a required option.

With Access Holes: This is the traditional method. Spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel to allow the nipples to easily be fed through the rim. Tubeless tape is required to seal the rim.

No Access Holes: No spoke access holes are drilled in the center channel. Feeding the nipples through the rim is more challenging, but it allows for a tubeless setup without the need for tape. This kind of system is known as "road tubeless" and was made popular by Mavic. Some companies still refer to it as "UST style", however, UST is actually a specific interface between the tire and rim which was developed by a partnership between Mavic, Michelin, and Hutchinson.

Currently, rims with 'No Access Holes' do not work with our carbon spokes.

Drain Hole This is a required option.

The two small drain holes located 90° to the valve hole effectively help evacuate both the water trapped inside the rim and the air leaking into the rim chamber caused by nonperfect tubeless tape sealing handwork that may risk rim explosure in an aggressive tire inflating.

It is the small reinforced layer prelaminated on the area where the drain hole is drilled later that makes the rim strength fairly ensured without any compromise of weight added.

Riders who ride in wet areas are suggested to order rims with drain holes.

Hi LightBicycle Team, A query from an Australian potential customer: I am hoping to build up some wheels myself and need some rims. The ideal specifications would be: Clincher rim brake rims ideally tubeless compatible, U profile, UD Matt: Front around 38mm 20hole with a width of 25mm Rear around 50mm and 24hole with a width of 25mm If you have such rims, what would their specification (ERD, weight, cost)? Would it be cheaper to have a single wheel size for front and back? Can I also ask if I can buy straight pull spokes from you as well (CX Ray would be best)? I am planning on using a DTSwiss 350 front hub and a PowerTap GS rear hub Thanks for your help. Mike ( I like the format of your website by the way)

Then i can quote accordingly for you.It is okay to buy one single rim, but the shipping cost is not much saved for just buying one single bike rim.Yes, it is okay to buy spokes together with rims. Hi Ricky, Regarding the spoke hole angle question Our symmetric rims are with +/-6 degree angled spoke holes. As you can see from attachment. Regarding the order question 1. If the front rim and rear rim are with different specs, you need to order them separately. 3. Is the basalt braking surface a thin layer on top of the carbon or does it go deeper into the rim? I have lots of scratches on the brake track of my rims, probably from the truing stand ( I built them up myself). I am wondering if I managed to scrape off the basalt or if the damage is only cosmetic. Thanks
