I am interested in a wheelset. I have two questions:
1. If after 30 days of use I have a warrantee issue and need to ship the wheels back, since I am responsible for the shipping cost can I ship them to the USA/Canada facility rather than China since the shipping cost is significantly less?
2. You warrantee the rims, do you also warrante your labor assembling the wheels, the hubs, spokes and nipples?
Thank you for your reply,
Francisco

Hi Francisco,
You don't need to send the rims/wheels back unless it's necessary (our engineers cannot identify the problem).
1. First, we will require you to provide the damage item photo to us, a serial number is required.
2. The engineers and wheel builders will determine the damage. If the rim damaged because of the quality itself, we will resend a new replacement to you without any charges. You don't need to send back the damaged rim to us.
3. If we determine that the rim is damaged by abuse use, but the rim is still within warranty time (3-year for standard series, 5-year for pro series). We will offer crash replacement discount.
Thanks,
Lightbicycle

Do your wheelsets have weight ratings. I'm a larger rider 230lb (105kg) and worry about durability on any carbon wheels i'd race on? What are the testing standards you use?
LightBicycle2019/03/01
Dear Josh
Usually, we recommend weight for rims/wheels is 135kg. We made fewe models in a heavy duty version so the heavy rider or aggressive rider can have the best rim for their profile. We also provide reinforcement customize service for riders who want a stronger build. So there's nothing you need to worry about. The weight we used to test our rim in the lab is over 300kg. Are you looking for road wheels or mountain wheels?
Thanks,
Lightbicycle

I have tested a few of their rims. 240lbs, aggressive rider. If you ride aluminium, do not hesitate to get any of their rims rated for your weight. You will not regret it. If you normally ride carbon, I would say these are among the best. Right now I have Santa Cruz Reserves on my Megatower and they only come with 28 spokes which I am thinking i may need that lifetime warranty after a few years of abuse. I'd recommend 32 or 36 spokes for bombproof wheels for big guys.

Hi Michael,
How is your Christmas vacation?
It is great to hear that you like our rims. Thank you so much for your recommendation!

Hi, I was wondering if I could order just a rear wheel and matching rim for the front. The wheel and rim I would be interested in is Recom RM29C06 Flyweight, 32 holes. I'm 165lb rider building this for cross country riding/racing. Rims matte, UD, with stealth decals. Rear wheel build with DT350 hub, QR 135, Center Lock, XD drive, 18T ratchet, DT Swiss Competition Race spokes, aluminum red nipples. AS part of the order I was wondering if I could get matching spokes and nipples for the front rim that would be laced to the Lefty hub with the following specs: Spoke Hole Circle Diameter nonDrive Side 58 (mm), Spoke Hole Circle Diameter Drive Side 45(mm). Please, let me know if that's possible, and how much the total would be shipped to Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402, USA.
LightBicycle2019/03/06
Hi Mario,
Yes, you can purchase the 29er rear wheel + front rim + matching spokes/nipples from us. Note that we only have 135mm*QR DT 350 hub with J-bend, center lock. the straight pull is not available in 32H. Will this be ok with you?
For straight pull, it is 28H.
Thanks,
Lightbicycle

Hello,
I bought an aftermarker LB wheelset (built by your team) and love it. No issues at all with it, but I was wondering: 1) if the warranty is transferrable to me, and 2) if I would be able to purcahse an extended warranty if I can provide to original order number.
Thanks!
LightBicycle2019/01/03
Hi Stephen,
Good news to you, we already upgrade all past ordered rims' standard warranty to 3 years. Note that it's a free offer.
Thanks,
Lightbicycle
