Hi I wonder how come the R55 rim is heavier than AR56 which being wider and higher ? Furthermore do you know if 30mm wide rim is compatible with R8000 shimano dual pivot caliper ?

LightBicycle 2019/10/28

Hi Julien, 1. R55 (25mm wide, 55mm deep) 25mm wide road 700C rim is with a rounder rim profile compare to AR56 (30mm wide, 56mm deep), which is with larger rim wall surface. Given the different rim shape design and intended use, our engineer specific design the layup process for every rim modle. For U shape is wider at the rim middle area and rim bottom area, AR56 30mm wide rims are wider on the top/but sharp at the bottom. U shape rims cause heavier due to wider at the bottom area. 2. According to SHIMANO's official Manual for Dual Piviot Caliper Brake, the BR-R8000 is compatible with 24~28mm width carbon rims. So our AR56 would be too wide for the caliper, however, you can use the R55 without worries. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Todd 2019/04/03

Hello, For WRU55C02, the rim profile drawing shows outer width as 25mm at the brake track, however it looks like the middle section of the rim is wider. How wide is the rim at its widest section?

LightBicycle 2019/04/04

Hi Todd, You are very observed the widest area of the RRU55C02 road clincher rim is about 28.02mm. Are you interested in purchasing a full wheelset? What kind of configuration you have in mind? Disc or non disc? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Mike 2019/03/11

Hello, I am located in Canada and I'm interested in purchasing your wheels, specifically WRU55C02. I notice that this isn't available in your Canadian warehouse. I'd also would like Novatec hubs (not disc) to keep the cost down. Can these be shipped from your Canadian warehouse? If not, do you have comparable cost wheels around 50mm deep that ship from North America? Thanks.

LightBicycle 2019/03/12

Hi Mike, Novatec hubs are only availble in Global warehouse. The North America warehouse don't have a wheelset configuration that close to the cost in Globa. What is your main concern for Global shipping? The price is already very friendly with Novatec or Bitex hubs. We can also lower the decalred value on the customs clearance documents so you can pay less tax. If it's about lead time, most road rims are ordered to make (non-stock). So if you want the wheels shipped from Canada, it will have to be made and built in China, then ship to Canada warehouse, and ship to you. Won't shorten the lead time. And the cost won't be lower. The shipping cost is USD78 from China to Canada. Thanks, Lightbicycle

Matt 2018/11/09

Hi. Can you offer these rims in asymmetric? Thanks.

LightBicycle 2018/11/12

Hi Matt, Sorry to tell you that we don't have the RRU55C02 in asymmetric version. The only asymmetrical road rim we have currently is RG922 (29mm wide, 28mm deep). Will you be interested in this? The 55mm deep rim is very popular for its aerodynamic profile. Could you care to share the reason why you need an asymmetrical version for a rim as deep? Thanks, Lightbicycle

Kevin 2018/07/11

Do the Wheel sets come with skewers?

LightBicycle 2018/07/12

Hi Kevin, If you order wheelset with Novatec hubs, they come with quick release skewers. If you order wheelset with other hubs like DT Swiss, the quick release skewers are not included. You will have to buy them seperately. Which hubs do you like for this road clincher 700C wheelset? Thanks, Lightbicycle
